A Health and Safety Statement is a legal requirement for every employer in Ireland. This has been the case since 1989 but more stringent requirements have been in place since the introduction of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
Also required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, Section 19 to be specific are Risk Assessments. A Risk Assessment forms part of your Safety Statement and should cover all significant hazards and risks in your workplace.
DSE Assessments also referred to as VDU Assessments or Ergonomic Assessments are a legal requirement for all habitual computer users in the workplace. This is an area of particular expertise and we would be delighted to assist.
