Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP)’s training will ensure employers are compliant with legal requirement and staff have the necessary knowledge, skills and training to be competent to drive this elevated platform.

Course content

• Introduction & Course Objectives
• Legislation and the types and the use of MEWPs
• Hazards accidents associated with using MEWPs
• Daily pre-use checks, safety precautions and maintenance requirements
• Harness in MEWP
• Positioning, raising and lowering the MEWP safely
• Covers self propelled booms (3B) and Mobile Vertical (3A)
• Scissor Lift training
• Self Propelled Boom lift training
• Cherry Picker training
• Vehicle Mounted Platform
• Combined course covering any of the above categories of MEWP
• Questions
• Conclude & Evaluations

Who is the course intended for:

The awareness training will be useful for anyone who has responsibility for health and safety in the workplace and those using machines mobile elevated work platforms.

Entry requirements

Minimum age- 18 years old

Minimum English requirements: Leaners must be able to understand and convey the concepts contained in the programme content.
